On reactions of triazinones: Synthesis of new 5-arylidene-4,5-dihydro-1,2,4-triazin-6-ones Hany M. Dalloul and Ali Z. Al-Shorafa Org. Commun. (2009), 2:1; 20-27 Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Al-Aqsa University of Gaza, P.O.Box 4051, Gaza 76888, PALESTINE Abstract:5-Benzylidene-, 5-(furan-2-ylmethylene)- and 5-(thiophen-2-ylmethylene)-4,5-dihydro-1,2,4-triazin-6-ones have been synthesized from the reaction of 4,5-dihydro-1,2,4-triazin-6-ones with appropriate aromatic aldehydes.
