Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry Reports

A scientific open access journal in the field of Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry

Aims & Scope

About Journal

 Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry Reports (BMCR) is a journal of molecular interactions at the interface of chemistry and biology, together with critical review articles.

The journal publishes research that addresses biological questions at the molecular level, reports of experimental results in chemical biology, medicinal chemistry and drug discovery and design, emphasizing new and emerging advances and concepts in these fields. The aim of the journal is to promote a better understanding at the molecular level of life processes, and living organisms, as well as the interaction of these with chemical agents.

Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry Reports (BMCR) is a peer reviewed and open access journal, accepts original research articles, preliminary communications/notes, review and mini-reviews, and rapid communication on all the aspects of the bioorganic research area.

Reviews are normally invited by Editors or Editorial Board members. Authors of unsolicited reviews should first contact an Editor or Editorial Board member to determine whether the proposed article is within the scope of the Journal.

BMCR is published semiannual online by ACG.

The scope of the journal covers a range of topics;

  • Bioorganic Chemistry

  • Medicinal Chemistry

  • Biomimetic chemistry

  • Heterocyclic Chemistry

  • Organometallic Chemistry

  • Metal, Organic and Enzyme catalysis

  • Synthesis of Biomolecules and Organic Materials

  • Theoretical and Computational Chemistry

All published research articles in BMCR are undergo rigorous peer review (please click to see peer review process scheme), based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by expert referees.
